We had our first Managers meeting of the season and it was great to see so many of the age group Managers represented.
The Chairman, Mark Ward was able to give an update on our discussions with the Parish Council and the Football Foundation in relation to the Pitch Improvement programme and the need to have an agreement in place with the Parish Council before we submit our grant application. We are also looking to submit an application for new goals posts as those provided by the Council are dated and would benefit from being replaced. The Club have now also decided to move forward with the construction of a secure compound which will be used to store the goals and other items taking pressure off the garage and allowing goals to be kept always made up.
We have 44 teams registered for the new season with a growing number of teams particularly in the Girls section which is fantastic news. Mark reminded the Managers of our Club Handbook which contains lots of useful information.
Ian Turner our Youth Secretary talked through our match day guidelines and the importance of registering players in advance of the new season recognising there had been several issues encountered with the Whole Game System (WGS).
Delighted we have been able to renew our FA Charter Standard Community club status again which is the highest accolade we can obtain from the FA and very much reflective of how the football club is governed, our club values and the facilities we are able to provide the local community.
Gordon Wallis (Vice Chairman) confirmed he had not concluded the allocation of slots for the 3G facility and again we have been seen huge demand and practically all slots have now been taken and all Evergreen teams. Membership is now due and can be paid into two instalments and all teams had now been contacted.
